FAQ: I tried to make a purchase but my card was declined. I just checked my bank and I see a charge on my account. Why?
Often when you attempt a purchase with a credit or debit card, the bank will put a temporary hold on your account for the amount of the transaction until it goes through. If it doesn't go through for whatever reason, the hold will be released and the money will reappear in your account. This typically happens within a day or so, but if the hold doesn't disappear shortly, contact your bank. It is your bank that is placing the hold on your account, not us.
